GRAPHIC DESIGN
I am passionate about and enjoy all things digital design. I aim to make unique solutions to difficult problems that are not often talked about.
Rush is a conceptual brand created to criticise the presence of gambling-like practices incorporated into videogames, using hyperbole to depict a truly malicious company.
RUSH
-
Although gambling has widely been tackled through advertisement campaigns against betting websites, many popular videogames exhibit this problem to children and teenagers through transactions that take audiences money for a chance of some reward.
-
A brand identity created which overtly takes the persona of shady videogame business that is purely motivated by making money no matter how immoral it may be. This is to empahsise the current state of videogames including gambling like features such as loot boxes or micro transactions in with such a young audience.cription
ORESTEIA PLAY
A range of promotional materials created for the Oresteia Play at Queensland Conservatorium. This included posters, banners and social media posts created to promote the upcoming play.
-
The Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium requested a design for campus screens and promotional posters for play, Oresteia, reinvented in a modern setting by Robert Icke.
-
The design leans into themes present in the play, representing the balance between vengeance and justice. Simple yet versatile graphics that could work on a variety of media and dimensions, including social media posts and physical posters. Violence is represented through the hand holding the knife through the title and is emphasised by the colours and textured layered over the main text.
EN ROUTE
EnRoute is a navigation app concept that focusses on reducing carbon emissions and saving fuel by adjusting routes to accommodate multiple stops on daily trips.
-
Long car drives to work or university can often feel unsatisfying and mentally draining. This can be for reasons such as feelings around wasting money, fuel, time or environmental concerns. En Route is an app concept that seeks to meaningfully address this issue
-
Route is a navigation app that aims to make long car trips feel more fulfilling by conveniently giving the option to add on stops and errands. Estimations of saved time, money and reduction in carbon emissions are shown to the viewer as a way to visually reward users to make them feel better about going on more organised trips. Throughout the creation process, user testing was conducted to ensure the final product adequately solved this problem.
REPFORGE
RepForge is a mobile app concept created to encourage beginners in the gym to create workout plans that save time and are backed by science.
-
Beginners in the gym struggle to find motivation and reliable information regarding weight training. As someone who enjoys going to the gym, it can be hard to find reliable information when every single article or influencer can seem to contradict the next. New gym goers need a way to easily and succinctly get gym advice that is backed by science.
-
RepForge is a mobile application designed to provide succinct and reliable information regarding weight training in the gym. Surveys and interviews were conducted to uncover gym goers main difficulties when creating a workout plan and what could be done to remedy this.
The solution resulted in an app that allows users to build their own customiseable workout plan that detail its strengths and weaknesses. It also helps users organise their time better with reminders and checklists for upcoming weekly workouts.
TIDE GLASSWARE
A range of products made from discarded glass bottles. This is accompanied by a surrounding brand identity and social media.
-
Tide is a brand created as part of a conceptual project aimed at providing a solution to one very specific problem, pollution on Australian beaches. Australian beaches are littered with waste that is often harmful for both locals and the environment, with a portion of this being glass bottles.
-
Tide collects used glass bottles and waste to create new glassware and decorations for your home, keeping gloss bottles off our coastline and made into a more permanent solution as glassware inside homes. This solution focuses on sustainability, providing cheap but high quality alternative household products . A surrounding brand identity and promotional material was created to push this concept further and explore using brand messaging on social media and product packaging.
